 Ukraine Visa for UAE Residents

Emirati citizens can enter Ukraine without a visa and can stay up to 90 days, but residents who do not have a UAE passport cannot visit Ukraine without a visa. The requirements of the visa depend upon the country passport you are holding. For example, if you hold an Indian or Pakistani passport, you need to check the requirements of the visa on the official website of your country’s embassy for Ukraine visa requirements.

1. Tour Visa 

Residents who do not hold a UAE passport must apply for the visa before they travel to Ukraine. The requirements of the visa are based on the country passport they hold. For instance, if that country has good diplomatic relations with Ukraine and both agree on a mutual understanding of visa-free travel then that person does not need a visa.   • Passport: An applicant must hold a passport that should be valid for 6 months further. 
  • UAE residence visa: An applicant must have a UAE residence visa that should be valid for 3 months. 
  • Travel Proof: An applicant must provide the details of his travel by showing the tickets for the departure and return dates from Ukraine. 
  • Photographs: An applicant must provide 2 images of passport size which should be not older than 3 months. 
  • Proof of Accommodation: An applicant must provide proof of accommodation for the entire trip by submitting the details about how many hotels he will stay in, hotel names and the room number. 
  • NOC: An applicant must provide a Non-Objection Certificate from the government to ensure that he is allowed to visit Ukraine. 
  • Proof of Funds: An applicant must provide proof of money by submitting a 3 months bank statement to the embassy of Ukraine. 
  • Visa Application: An intended tourist must apply for the visa and hold the receipt of the application paid dues. 

Application Process 

Step 1: Gather all the documents and visit the Ukrainian Embassy in the UAE.  

Step 2: Choose what type of visa you are willing to apply for. 

Step 3: Fill out the application form and attach the documents. 

Step 4: Double-check the details you provided in the application and then submit it 

Step 5: Pay the visa application fee which is 440 AED.  

Step 6: Appear in the interview and if you pass it, you can collect a Ukraine tour visa. 

2. Business Visa 

Business visas are for people who want to arrange a business meeting in Ukraine or intend to participate in a business conference. A business visa does not allow you to begin a business in Ukraine, but it is a kind of permit to engage in business activities, such as meetings, and arranging conferences. The duration of a business visa is 90 days and the process time is 10 to 15 working days. 

Requirements of Ukraine Business Visa for UAE Residents 

  • Passport: A business person must hold a passport that is valid for the next 6 months and it has two blank pages. 
  • UAE Residence Visa: A business person must provide the details of his UAE residence visa and ensure that the visa is valid for 3 months.  
  • Invitation Letter: A business person must provide a copy of the invitation letter from the partner or the business, such as a company or an organization to participate in the meeting or a business conference. 
  • Health Insurance: A business person must enrol in a health insurance program offered by a registered insurance company. 
  • Travel Proof: A business person must show the tickets for departure from UAE and return from Ukraine to ensure that the sole purpose of the visit is business-related activities. 
  • Photographs: A business person must provide 2 images of passport size which should be not older than 3 months. 
  • Proof of Accommodation: A business person must provide the details of his entire trip accomodation arrangements by providing the name of the hotel in which he will stay as well as the the apartment number 
  • NOC: A business person must obtain a Non-Objection document from the UAE government. 
  • Proof of Funds: A business person must have sufficient money to sponsor his trip; therefore, he needs to show his bank statement for the last three months. 
  • Visa Application: A business person has to apply for a business visa and hold the dues receipt of the application 

Application Process 

Step 1: Visit the Ukraine embassy in the UAE carrying all the documents I have enlisted above. 

Step 2: Ask for the business visa application and provide all your details.  

Step 3: Fill out the application form for the Ukraine visa and attach all the documents with it. 

Step 4: Check the application before you submit it and then pay the Ukraine fee which is 660 AED. 

Step 5: Hold the receipt because you may need it in the future. 

Step 6: Appear in the interview and collect your Ukraine business visa. 

3. Work Visa 

A work visa is for people who are willing to pursue their professional careers in Ukraine. The work visa allows UAE residents to get employment and then earn money, but the duration of the work visa is short. Normally, Ukraine issues 1 to 2 years of work visas; however, there are various sub-categories of work visas which you can choose depending upon your preferences and intended activities. 

Requirements of Ukraine Work Visa for UAE Residents 

  • Passport: An intended employee must hold a passport that should be valid for 6 months.  
  • UAE Residence Visa:  An intended employee must provide a copy of the UAE residence visa which should be valid for 3 months.  
  • Employer Letter: An intended employee must submit a copy of the employer letter that contains the information about the employer, his offered job position and the confirmation that he has secured the job position. 
  • Health Insurance: An intended employee must enrol in a health insurance program which is offered by a certified insurance company that is registered in the UAE. 
  • Medical Certificate: An intended employee must submit a medical certificate signed by a registered professional to ensure the embassy of Ukraine that he does not suffer from any deadly, contiguous disease. 
  • Travel Proof: An intended employee must provide the details of his travel by showing the tickets for departure to Ukraine. 
  • Employment Contract: An intended employee must provide a copy of the employment contract in which his role, the amount he will learn and the responsibilities along with company policies are explained. 
  • Work Permit: An intended employee must hold a work permit from Ukraine. 
  • Travel Insurance: An intended employee must enrol in a travel insurance program which can assist him financially if any emergency occurs. 
  • Photographs: An intended employee must submit 2 images of passport size which should not be older than 3 months. 
  • Proof of Accomodation: An intended employee must provide the details of the hotel in which he will stay after arrival as well as the room number. 
  • NOC: An intended employee must submit an NOC document from the UAE government to the Ukrainian embassy. 
  • Proof of Funds: An intended employee must provide the details of the money he possesses to sponsor his trip. 
  • Visa Application: An intended employee must apply for a work visa and possess a receipt of paid application charges. 
  • Police Clearance: An intended employee must provide a police clearance certificate to ensure the Ukrainian embassy that he has never been engaged in criminal activities. 

Application Process 

Step 1: The employer will apply for a work permit on your behalf after hiring. 

Step 2: The employer will send the work permit along with company registration documents. 

Step 3: Visit the Embassy of Ukraine, the consulate or an application office to apply for a Ukraine work visa. 

Step 4: Submit all the documents along with an application form that possesses all your details. 

Step 5: Pay the work visa fee and appear in an interview. 

Step 6: If you pass the interview, you will be able to get a Ukrainian visa.
